Meet the Hosts

We are Jan and John Strachan, born and bred Southlanders and have owned this property for over
20 years. During this time there has been a lot of redecorating and refurbishing which we continue
to do as necessary. We love meeting the wide range of people we have to stay, from overnighters to
those that stay a few days and learn of their amazing adventures while visiting the south.

Property and Neighbourhood Info

A quiet tree-lined location for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Five minutes walk into the city,
cafes/bars. Queens Park is just around the corner and has plenty to offer our guests. The 4km fitness
track winds it’s way around the mature trees and includes 20 exercise stations. The animal park,
aviary and children’s playground is a popular place to explore. Not to mention the gardens, 81ha in
total, so take some time to enjoy! 10 minutes drive to Stadium Southland, Splash Palace aquatic
centre and Invercargill airport. Lovely restaurants just a short walk away. A short walk to Motorcycle
Mecca and 10 mins drive to Bill Richardson Transport World. Our apartments are all regularly
renovated and updated. Serviced daily, our spacious, apartments are all north facing with
comfortable furnishings. All have cooking facilities including microwaves.
All our apartments have their own separate bathroom and toilet facilities. Accommodation at
Golden Leaf Apartments includes two ground floor studios, 3 ground floor two bedroom apartments
and 3 one bedroom apartments upstairs. Undercover and off street parking is available to all our
guests. Complimentary guest services include free Wi Fi, laundry facilities (washing machine and
dryer), portable cot (pre-arranged). We offer great value for your money with our affordable rates.
